# Signal passports

> Knowledge package 0.6.1, checked 22 September 2026, build 03613bfa. If the copy you are reading does not carry that line, you have a cached or older revision: fetch this page again.

These passports explain every indicator ID available when creating a new card in the reviewed desktop BACKTEST: **44 IDs / 62 role definitions for Binance, 41 IDs / 58 role definitions for Bybit**. The observation date is 15 September 2026. The three Binance-only IDs concern exchange trade counts. The same inventory applies with signal averaging off and on; the available action in the CLOSE\_BY group changes with that mode.

This is a user-facing condition contract. It explains what the settings mean, which values are compared and what an outcome permits or requests. It is not a complete numerical indicator implementation, trading engine or assurance that a particular deployed calculation matches the reviewed implementation. Use [the catalogue](https://1830394604-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6lHX8ZJXkBHNJALLsrDj%2Fuploads%2FFUok4dn22XsUwQnd6WG2%2Fitb-ai-0.6.1-en-field-catalog.json?alt=media) for each context's exact fields, labels, options and defaults, and [the constraints](https://1830394604-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F6lHX8ZJXkBHNJALLsrDj%2Fuploads%2FCHG1WDgV2lChAvsqSDvn%2Fitb-ai-0.6.1-en-condition-constraints.json?alt=media) for validated input domains. A displayed default is not a recommended parameter.

## Reading a passport

The family pages use `0` for the current evaluation value, `1` for the previous value and `2` for the value before that. `C`, `H` and `Lo` mean close, high and low of the selected candle data; an unindexed symbol refers to the current evaluation. Comparisons assume finite values, aligned series and enough history. The **first matching branch wins**. Missing data, zero denominators and calculation errors must not be interpreted as permission unless the specific contract establishes that result.

An upward crossing of series X and Y means `X1 < Y1` and `X0 >= Y0`; a downward crossing means `X1 > Y1` and `X0 <= Y0`. Current equality completes these crossings; previous equality does not start them. Some variants use different predicates, stated explicitly in their passports.

Do not infer a condition from its familiar indicator name or from an abbreviated translated option. Preserve the exact option code, then use the predicate in its passport. “Price is above a line”, “price crossed a line”, and “the last qualifying region was above a line” are three different conditions.

## Direction and role

The passports report a condition's result before Reverse:

* `L`: long signal; `S`: short signal; `N`: no qualifying signal.
* `A` / ANY: a direction-neutral signal that can satisfy either selected task direction. **It does not instruct the backtester to open long and short positions simultaneously.**
* `IS`: ignore shorts, allowing longs; `IL`: ignore longs, allowing shorts.
* `AA`: both directions are permitted by a filter. In a filter role, `N` permits neither. Permission alone does not create an entry signal.

Where the card offers Reverse (`rs`), it swaps `L ↔ S` and `IL ↔ IS`; `A`, `AA` and `N` remain unchanged. Reverse is not logical NOT and does not change the task's Long/Short setting. Never add a Reverse field to a variant that has no such control.

For a Long task, MAIN accepts `L` or `A`; for a Short task it accepts `S` or `A`. Every PRICE\_LIMIT filter must permit the chosen side: `IS`/`AA` for Long, `IL`/`AA` for Short. The current form permits one MAIN, up to ten filters and up to three CLOSE\_BY cards. Do not build an unsupported multiple-entry AND/OR expression.

## Exit and averaging actions

The condition formula remains the same when a directional indicator is placed in CLOSE\_BY. After Reverse, an ending action responds to `S` or `A` for a Long position and to `L` or `A` for a Short position. Separate ending conditions can qualify independently; they are not an AND group.

Select `cba` explicitly:

* `ED`: request completion without the profit-only restriction of EDOP.
* `EDOP`: request completion subject to the configured profit/deviation condition. It does not guarantee a profitable fill or positive net account return.
* `AVG`: request averaging on the position's **own** signal direction (`L`/`A` for Long, `S`/`A` for Short). This is not an exit. It is offered in the signal-averaging context.

With DCA off, the observed options are ED/EDOP and the default is EDOP. With DCA on, AVG is added and becomes the default. A CLOSE\_BY card therefore cannot be described simply as “close when this indicator fires” without reading its action. A direction-neutral A condition can qualify for an ending action on either selected side; a positive price impulse is not automatically a Long-only exit condition.

PRICE\_LIMIT cards have a separate `pla` setting for a denied condition: `SD` corresponds to the interface action “Cancel cycles” and has no effect on an open deal in the reviewed ordinary BACKTEST, `ED` requests completion, and `EDOP` requests completion under the profit/deviation restriction. These are different requests. In particular, do not translate SD into an unconditional immediate market close. In the reviewed ordinary BACKTEST only PRICE\_LIMIT filters with `pla = ED` or `EDOP` can close a deal. If several of them fire on the same bar, the first one in the platform's fixed indicator order applies; there is no ranking between ED and EDOP, and a filter with `pla = SD` does not close the deal. Their actual execution and the effect on a running deal belong to the selected calculation mode, not to the indicator formula.

## Data, timing and controls

* Asset (`ss`) identifies the input instrument. The preset adapter binds card assets to the main instrument; it does not support cross-market conditions.
* Timeframe (`Is`) is specific to the ID and exchange. Do not copy one family's timeframe list into another. Binance's general list includes 12h; Bybit's does not. Several activity/impulse variants have a smaller list or a fixed timeframe.
* Calculation (`at`): `CL` evaluates closed-candle data; `CR` uses the changing current candle. CR does not turn a state filter into a crossing event. A CL signal can remain relevant during the following interval; do not assume one instantaneous order at the candle close.
* Candles (`ct`): `DEFAULT` is Normal; `HEIKEN_ASHI` uses the selected transformed candle data where offered. A formula then uses those selected values. Their presence in metadata does not prove identical support in every accelerated path.
* Controls omitted by an ID are not missing values to invent. Width filters, price range, impulse and market-activity variants deliberately omit some of the standard selectors.
* `offset` is measured in bars where offered. Read the family rule: shifting an indicator relative to current price is different from shifting an entire strategy or its order time.

The per-definition control lists in the family pages are taken from the observed schema. Defaults describe that observation only. Types, numeric constraints, dependencies and options must also pass the machine validator. A reviewed field with no explicit source bound does not acquire an invented bound or ordering rule; a genuinely unconfirmed mode contract is identified separately.

## Coverage and remaining limits

Every current new-card definition is linked in the coverage list at the end of its family page. MAIN, PRICE\_LIMIT and CLOSE\_BY are separate definitions even where they reuse the same calculation.

The inventory does not describe every robot, mobile, account or screener feature. Funding conditions removed from this desktop selector, hidden permanent/older impulse cards and disabled indicators are not offered as supported new cards. Historical ability to restore an old hidden card is not evidence that it can be created in today's selector.

The passports establish selected user-facing predicates and input meaning, not full numerical-series parity. Initial seeds, finite precision, warmup, missing bars, state resets, current deployed backend version and all Heiken-Ashi/fast combinations are not comprehensively verified. No actual backtest or exchange execution is established by these passports. Any narrower unresolved behaviour is named in the relevant family page.
