# Choosing a connection method

ITradingBot allows you to connect your exchange account or open an Exchange Account. The choice of setting location, panel sections available and requirements before starting work are all up to you.

### Your account on Bybit or Binance

You're using an account that's listed on the exchange. ITradingBot connects to it via an API and sends trading commands within the assigned rights.

The method of connection depends on the tool: the interface can offer exchange authorization or input API Key and API Secret. When you create a key yourself, do not include withdrawal permission.

This mode does not require a person verification in ITradingBot. The exchange's own requirements for your account are kept.

### Exchange Account on Bybit

Exchange Account separate trading sub-account on Bybit, which is created through ITradingBot. You don't have to register your own account on Bybit to do that. The funds are on Bybit.

In this mode, Bybit's spot and futures terminals are available, as well as asset work sections: deposits, withdrawal, transfers and conversion. Access to transactions depends on the status of the account and the checks you have made.

Before you create an email in your profile, you need to have your identity verified and your account protected PIN code, app authenticator or access key connected. — [verification of identity](/en/account/verification.md) — [Account protection](/en/account/account-security-and-sessions.md) If the verification results are still updated, wait until the processing is complete.

Before opening, read the regime device and restrictions, including country by country, in the article [How to set up an Exchange Account](/en/company/how-exchange-account-mode-works.md). The current fees are listed on the [Fee Schedule](/en/company/fee-schedule.md).

### Where to add a connection

Select Bybit or Binance from the API connection group and open **Trade → Settings**. [The terminal settings](https://app.itradingbot.net/terminal-settings) page has a stock access block. Own API connections are used in the futures terminals of the respective exchanges.

Connect your account to the creation page or the settings of your chosen robot. Adding a key to the terminal settings doesn't replace the robot's connection settings.

Open an Account → Exchange accounts. [The exchange accounts page](https://app.itradingbot.net/exchange-account) shows the terms of creation, the available limit and the existing sub-accounts.

API keys for Exchange Account. **Account → API keys** are required for additional keys for the already created Bybit sub-account. They don't add their keys to the exchange.

### Check the account you have selected

The switch in the dashboard header shows your own API connections and the Exchange Account you created separately. Before you start work, check the exchange and the name of the account you have chosen.

If you do not see a deposits, withdrawal or conversion, check if the Exchange Account is selected. For your own API connection, these menu items are not displayed.
