Creating Binance API keys

This instruction will help you manually create a pair of API Keys and Secret Keys on Binance to connect your account to the ITradingBot. If you connect a basic account with the Basic button and Binance creates the keys when you authorize, follow the Account connection instructions.

Set up an account

Log in to the exact Binance account that the robot will be working on. For a sub-account, you need to create a key for that sub-account, not take the key from the main account.

Before you create the key, turn on two-factor protection, run a Binance identity check, and activate your account by filling in your spot wallet. These pre-requisites are listed in Binance's official instructions. — Binance official instructions Also, first, activate a futures account: a key that was created before that may not allow you to enable futures trading.

For a FREE robot, one of two conditions is sufficient: the account is registered via the ITradingBot referral link or registered on or after January 11, 2025 and not linked to a third-party referral. — Referral link to ITradingBot The date is only for the second option. The creation of an API key alone does not change these conditions.

Create a key for Binance

  1. Open the Binance profile menu, select Account → Manage API.

  2. Click Create an API.

  3. Select System generated . This option gives two values: API Key and Secret Key, which are used in manual form by ITradingBot.

  4. Enter a clear name for the key, such as ITradingBot Robot.

  5. Confirm the creation of a security method that Binance will offer.

The key card will appear on the page. Don't close it until you keep it a secret. Self-generated RSA/Ed25519 keys have a different configuration and are not covered by this instruction.

Set up IP and trade rights

For a separate API key to your Binance robot, disable the IP restriction. This setting is for the manual procedure on this page. Do not specify the IP of your computer: the robot's requests are sent from ITradingBot servers.

  1. In the API Management section, disable Default security controls if this mode does not allow you to enable trade rights for an IP-free key.

  2. In the key card you want , click Change restrictions .

  3. In the IP access restrictions , select Unrestricted .

  4. Leave Enable Reading on and enable Enable Futures on.

  5. Leave the option to Enable Withdrawals. Do not include transfers, loans, options or spot trading.

  6. Keep the limits and go through Binance confirmation. Make sure the trade rights you have selected are maintained.

Without IP restrictions, anyone with a key and a secret can use the key. Disabling Default Security Controls affects the overall API setting of the main account and sub-accounts. Binance recommends IP restriction; features of HMAC keys and the availability of futures are listed in Binance FAQ. If you need to connect to an IP connection, please specify a compatible way to support ITradingBot before changing the key. — support for ITradingBot

Save the key and connect the robot

  1. Keep the API Key and Secret Key separately in a secure location. Don't send them to Telegram, support or screenshots.

  2. Go back to ITradingBot and run the manual Binance account link. — Linking to Binance account In the form Add API → Sub Account, enter the key in the API Key, and the secret in the Api Secret.

  3. Click Add and check the result in the robot settings. If an error message appears, the key should not be considered connected.

Connecting the key and starting the robot separate actions. Before you click Start, check the settings and prepare trading tasks.

If the key doesn 't fit

The futures are unavailable, so check if the futures account was activated before the key was created. Binance also indicates a limitation for Portfolio Margin. Do not change the account mode or delete the working keys blindly.

Binance leaves only readings. Check the IP settings and Default Security Controls. If the switch is not available, look for the reason in the Binance interface.

ITradingBot rejects the key. Check that the key and secret are from the same account, are free of gaps and have a saved Futures permission. If you have a FREE access error, check the terms above. Please provide support with only the text of the error and the step by which it appeared.
