# Bybit: editing tasks

On the Bybit robot page, you can change one task or the general parameters of several tasks. Before editing, select the appropriate account: the fields available may differ from your own API connection and Exchange Account. The instructions are for the task table.

### Change one of the tasks

1. Open up Bybit and check the account you've selected. — [The Bybit robot](https://app.itradingbot.net/bybit-robot)
2. Find the task in the table. Click on its name or open the edit through the line menu.
3. Compare the asset, the direction, the volume, the grid and the way out. For the signal task, check the entry conditions, the filters and the exit on the signal.
4. Change the available fields and click **Change the task**.
5. Wait for the answer and check the saved values. If necessary, reopen the design.

If the interface reports incompatible parameters or the signal conditions are not loaded, first deal with the message. Do not keep the configuration as an exact copy of the task. The parameters are described in the article [Bybit: task parameters and grid calculation](/en/bybit-robot/bybit-task-parameters-and-order-grid-calculation.md).

### Consider the active trade

The table lists the task with the active trade, and it's not available to edit. Wait for the trade to be completed and the status update. Turning off the task or taking the signal off the calculation doesn't mean the current position is closed.

The stored grid parameters are applied to the next cycle. The already running cycle continues to use the parameters with which it was started; the storage does not rebuild its order. Changing the number of cycles in the settings is valid for a new start and does not change the number of cycles left in the already running series.

This is the same for your own API connection and Exchange Account. The cancellation, closure and discard commands are described in the article [Tasks of the Bybit robot](/en/bybit-robot/bybit-robot-tasks.md).

### Use the common settings

Group action is also available for one specific task. If you select a few lines, check the entire sample composition: the selected tasks can be saved after you change the filter. Excludes active tasks they block group editing.

1. Mark the right lines and compare the task counter.
2. Select Select to change or edit ISignal if this option is available for sampling.
3. Check the form filling out: the matching values are shown, and the common field with different values remains empty.
4. Just change the parameters you need. Untouched fields retain individual values of the tasks; empty common field is not a zeroing command.
5. Click Change tasks, wait for the answer and check the settings for each selected task.

For general correction, the ISignal indicator and filter settings must match. The trading pairs may differ. The changed set of conditions applies to the entire selected group.

### Check the saved after the error

If the response reports partial execution or disconnection, update the table and reopen the affected tasks. Some of the parameters might have been saved. Do not consider the error message to be confirmation of cancellation of all changes and do not repeat all corrections without verification.
