Bybit robot settings

Here you turn on the typical Bybit robot, set new entry limits, exclude assets from your choice, and customize notifications. The settings are for the selected account.

Open the robot you want

Go to The Bybit robot settings and check the account in the top menu. The table shows the robot's connection and status: Active or Inactive.

You can use your own API key to do something. In Exchange Account, the connection is created alongside the exchange account, so you cannot manually add or delete the system key on this page. The procedure for connecting is described in articles about your own Bybit account and Exchange Account. — My own Bybit account

Set the limits

Block Limits of the robot Bybit: restrictions and Number of Concurrent Tasks.
English interface. Displayed as a demo with a limit of 0; this is not a recommended set of settings.

The Number of simultaneous tasks determines how many tasks can work at the same time. The number of saved but not working tasks is not included.

PRO mode switches the total limit to separate values for LONG and Short. Check both fields before saving.

Taking into account hand positions adds to the calculation of positions opened by hand or other tools. This setting doesn't send them to the robot control.

One-way traffic limits the opposite entrance to the same asset if the opposite direction is already occupied. He doesn't change the account mode on the exchange.

The value 0 in the relevant limit prevents new entries with this limit verified. It doesn't close open positions. Manual launch of the rocket in the Exchange Account bypasses the number of transactions and one direction consider this separately.

After the change, click Save in The restrictions block and wait for the result.

Transfer of position at the hedge

The Transfer of position switch is available for Exchange Account. It's not available on its own API.

If an opposite position is opened on the asset that does not belong to the active task of the same robot, the robot cancels the order of the accompanying trade and stops its accompanying. The rest of the position can be kept on the exchange.

The setting itself doesn't open the counter position and doesn't run the Hedge robot. The working robot also checks the existing counter positions when it is turned on, so the saving can affect current trades. Check them before you turn on the switch.

Start and stop

Before you start, check the tasks and limitations. In the launch dialog, the interface suggests setting the number of simultaneous active tasks to zero.

  • Yes, turn off PRO mode, keep the total limit of 0 and then run the robot. If the limits are not kept, the launch is not continued.

  • No, the robot is running with current limits. This isn't a launch call.

Running the dialog Bybit with the limit set question 0 and the Yes and No buttons .
Both buttons continue running. Yes keeps the total limit of 0, No leaves the current limits.

To stop the robot, press Stop. For Exchange Account, the interface reads the status after the command is received: Wait for the status update. The message itself about the team that got it doesn't confirm it's done yet.

The robot's stop is not a position closure command. Actively executing trades and orders are checked separately; their management is described in the article Tasks of the Bybit robot.

To remove your own API connection, first check the active trades and stop the robot. Then click the basket icon in the line and confirm removal. This action is not available for Exchange Account.

The blacklist

Added assets are excluded from the usual list of pairs in the task constructor. The blacklist does not serve as a command to remove already created tasks or close positions.

  1. In The blacklist block, select the assets you want to add.

  2. Click Save and make sure they're in the list of additions.

  3. To delete, select the assets already in the blacklist and click Delete the selected ones. To clear the entire list, use Delete Everything.

Deleting sends the change immediately. If the list becomes empty, it will need confirmation. You don't need to separate save after successful deletion.

The Telegram notifications

In The notification block, select events and click Save. The notifications are sent to @I_Trading_Bot. — @I_Trading_Bot

Basic points Profit notification and General errors. Exchange Account also has position events, funding, series of cycles and safety orders: for example, execution of the last order or lack of funds for the next. Additional items are not available with explanation on their own API.

Turning off the notification changes the message, not the trading logic of the robot. Individual events are adjusted regardless of the point of common error.

Check the storage

Restrictions, blacklists and notifications are saved with separate buttons. Wait for one save to be completed before the next.

If there is an error, read the text. In Exchange Account, there may be a situation where values are already saved, but the command to apply them is not delivered to the working robot. The interface tells you and reads the settings. Check the values before repeating; don't consider a single field change to be confirmation that the robot is already working under new conditions.
