# Aggressive hedge: setup and management

The aggressive mode is accompanied by the long and short of one asset. He adds the inverse volume at the level of the drop, then he can partially reduce the loss position and restore it to the volume according to the redemption rules. This creates additional trades and can increase the margin load.

### Select mode and account

Open the Hedge Bybit Robot or Hedge Binance Robot panel. — [Hedge Robot Bybit](https://app.itradingbot.net/hedge-robot-bybit) — [Hedge The Binance Robot](https://app.itradingbot.net/hedge-robot-binance) Check your account and go to the **Aggressive (VIP)** tab . If the mode is unavailable, check the VIP status of the account.

The aggressive mode is for VIP tools and is available for purchase of a PRO for one year. The terms of subscription are summarized in the articles [Free, PRO and VIP](/en/account/free-pro-and-vip-terms-and-payment.md).

The aggressive regime has its own tasks, blacklist, notifications, and launch status. Check them separately from the classic mode.

### Create a task

1. Click on the **New task**. For general configuration, leave **Global settings**; for individual asset, disable this item and select asset.
2. Enter the general parameters: minimum volume, percentage of the pair closing and, if you use this operation, drop the difference in average entry prices.
3. Fill in the hedging levels and the cut-off/redemption settings for both sides. Check the directions as shown below.
4. Check the take-profit tail position. In this mode, the option can cancel the external closing orders of both sides, including stop losses. It can't be seen as a switch that only affects one TEK profit.
5. Click Create a task and check the saved line in the table.

The templates available on the page fill out the form. They don't keep the task and they don't launch the robot. After you select the template, check the asset, the common fields, and both sides; the ready set is not a recommendation for trading.

### Don 't confuse the directions

In one form block, the direction is used differently for two operations:

* Long levels: When the long is in the main position, the long sets the target of the opposite shorts. Shorts' levels set the goal of the opposite long when the shorts are landed.
* Long cutting and redemption: works when the profit side is long, and the loss shorts are shortened and restored. For a block of shorts, it's the other way around.

Therefore, copying numbers between parties does not replace verifying their purpose. Check the trigger, the step, the cutting rate and the buyback ratio carefully.

### Run and check the attachment

Check the open positions and the blacklist, then run the aggressive robot in its API key block. Wait for confirmed active status. An already existing position can be immediately escorted.

One open side is enough to start the escort. The meeting position appears only when the level conditions are met and the order is executed. Cutting and redeeming require both sides: one must be in profit relative to its entry, the other must remain in the landfill.

Keep an eye on active tasks, actual positions and orders. Partial cutting and unfinished redemption different stages; the notification received does not mean that the whole cycle is already complete.

### Change and stop

The task menu allows you to change, copy, or delete your settings. The active task is not allowed to be deleted by the server. When the buy-back limit changes, the new limit applies to new cycles; the already calculated cycle retains its limit.

The stop command will stop escorting, but will not close positions or cancel orders already placed. Wait for the inactive status and check the exchange separately. Re-launch restores the support to current positions and retained state.

Excluding an asset through its switch or blacklisting is another action. It completes the asset's escort and sends the cancellation of the saved orders of that task without closing the market positions themselves. Then check what's actually on the exchange.

### Steam closure and notifications

When the calculation goal is reached, the robot completes the necessary cancellation of its orders, then sends the long and short closing to the market. If the action already started is still being executed or the cancellation of orders is not confirmed, the closure may be postponed.

A couple closure announcement marks the beginning of this action. Check the actual closing of both positions and the final execution history. Hedging, cutting and redemption do not guarantee profit or loss-free exit.
