# Interface terminology

Short explanations of the names in the ITradingBot panel. The links lead to detailed instructions; values and actions are always relevant to the chosen tool and account.

### Accounts and access

ITradingBot profile your platform account: login, email, Telegram link and access settings. It's created when you register. — [The registration](/en/account/registration-sign-in-and-account-recovery.md)

**Exchange Account** a trading sub-account on Bybit, which is created via ITradingBot and links to your profile. His device is described in a separate article. — [the separate article](/en/account/exchange-accounts/exchange-account-creation-and-setup.md)

Your **Own exchange account** account that you have registered on the exchange and connected to the ITradingBot tool via API. It's one way to connect. — [How to connect](/en/account/exchange-accounts/choosing-a-connection-method.md)

API-key is the key that the service uses to receive information or send orders to the exchange within the limits of the assigned rights. In the forms of API keys and API secrets separate values. Own account keys and Exchange Account additional keys are customized in different locations. — [Additional keys to Exchange Account](/en/account/exchange-accounts/exchange-account-api-keys.md)

**Access key passkey** way to confirm actions using a device or key manager. It's a profile protection factor, not an API key for trading. — [Protecting the profile](/en/account/account-security-and-sessions.md)

### Robot and the task conditions

This is a description of the typical Bybit and Binance robots. Hedge robots have their own modes and parameters.

Robot is an automation tool associated with a trading account. At its level, general settings and limitations are set; the robot's tasks describe individual trading scenarios. — [The tasks of the robot](/en/getting-started/how-the-robot-works.md)

The **Task** set of settings for the tool and direction: volume, grid, entry and exit conditions, cycles. A saved or enabled task is not yet an open trade. — [The open trade](/en/getting-started/how-the-robot-works.md)

Active trade current job of the robot on the task. Her condition needs to be compared to actual orders and stock market positions. — [orders and positions on the exchange](/en/getting-started/how-the-robot-works.md)

Cycle one task's workflow; cycling settings control repetition. The cycle counter is not equal to the number of orders executed, and its behavior depends on the type of robot and the mode. — [type of robot and mode](/en/getting-started/how-the-robot-works.md)

**The signal** is a condition for the robot to operate. In addition, filters may be required and task restrictions may be enforced; the signal does not guarantee execution of the order. — [The signal does not guarantee the execution of the order .](/en/signals-and-strategy-conditions/isignal-entry-filters-and-exit.md)

Indicator is a tool for checking the signal conditions according to selected parameters. In the constructor, it is represented by a card; the available roles of entry, filter, and exit may vary. Add it to the right part of the constructor. — [the necessary part of the constructor](/en/signals-and-strategy-conditions/isignal-entry-filters-and-exit.md)

**Filter** is an additional condition that allows action at appropriate values. The reaction to the loss of resolution is set separately and can affect the already working task see filter mechanics. — [The mechanics of the filters](/en/signals-and-strategy-conditions/isignal-entry-filters-and-exit.md)

### Order and position

**Order** ordering the exchange to buy or sell the specified volume with the specified conditions. The order is sent and executed. — [Order of the](/en/trading-terminal/orders-in-the-futures-terminal.md)

Execution The executed part of the order with the actual price and quantity. One order may have multiple executions. — [several executions](/en/trading-terminal/orders-in-the-futures-terminal.md)

**Partial execution** is the state in which only a portion of the order volume is executed. The remaining order and the already completed volume are checked separately; cancellation of the remainder does not cancel the completed executions. — [cancellation of the balance](/en/trading-terminal/orders-in-the-futures-terminal.md)

Position open volume on the instrument and side in a futures terminal. It can be maintained after the task state changes; in a mode with separate sides, the [Long and short are taken into account separately](/en/trading-terminal/positions-in-the-futures-terminal.md).

First order is the software, FO is the grid's initial order. Its size is set in the task settings; units need to be checked in the form as in [The parameters of the Binance task](/en/binance-robot/binance-task-parameters.md).

The safety orders SO is an additional order of the grid, which after execution is taken into account in the total volume and average price of the position. The name doesn't mean loss protection; it's about the net calculation. — [- I'm not going to count the net.](/en/binance-robot/binance-order-grid-calculation-and-pair-selection.md)

### Settings and calculations

Backtest is a model calculation of the performance of selected settings on historical data. — [Backend results](/en/tools/calculations-and-verification/backtester-first-calculation.md)

Press set of parameters to fill out the compatible form. Applying such a set and running the calculation or task are done separately. — [Starting a calculation or task](/en/tools/calculations-and-verification/backtester-results-and-archive.md)

A grid calculator is a tool for adjusting parameters by current price, given width and calculation constraints. — [Selecting the grid](/en/tools/calculations-and-verification/order-grid-calculator.md)

A grid optimizer is a tool for comparing the combinations of parameters with the calculation of history. For example, this is how a Backtester optimizer works. The best test result in the tested range does not guarantee the same result in the future. — [of the verified range](/en/tools/calculations-and-verification/order-grid-optimizer-in-the-backtester.md)

PnL Cash out. In a futures calculator, it is calculated by the specified entry and exit prices and volume, without commissions and funding; the composition of the indicator in other reports should be viewed separately. — [The future calculator](/en/trading-terminal/futures-terminal-calculator.md)

ROI is the percentage of the result of the chosen base of the calculation. In a futures calculator, it's the PnL ratio to the starting margin, not the percentage change in the price of the asset. — [The future calculator](/en/trading-terminal/futures-terminal-calculator.md)
