Filter by Bollinger Bands width
The filter measures the width of the Bollinger band in percentages and compares it to the threshold. If the conditions are met, both directions are allowed.
Add the card to the designer
Open the Binance or Bybit robot task and The ISignal designer. Select Bollinger channel width from the filter block.
The trading instrument is out of the question. The new card uses form values; it's not a recommended strategy.
Set the settings
TF is selected from the list of current form; by default 1 minute.
Period from 5 to 200 bars, by default 20.
Average square deviation is an integer value from 1 to 3, default 2. He's involved in the construction of the tracks.
Channel width, % from 0.1 to 100. The initial value is 1.
Enable entry if The channel is already specified % or The channel is wider than the specified %. By default The channel is already specified %.
When the filter allows action
The width is equal to the absolute value of the distance between the bands and the bottom band multiplied by 100%.
The channel already specified allows for action at a width much smaller than the threshold.
The Channel width of the given % allows for action when the width is much greater than the threshold. No regime crosses the threshold of equality.
Consider the meaning of the calculation
The calculation uses the usual bars of the selected timeframe and takes into account the current unopened bar. The width of the channel does not indicate the price position inside it and does not indicate the direction of the trade.
Save the card and check the action
In the field When you exit the filter, select a loss response. By default , cancel cycles; the Selling by market and Selling by market commands are also available , taking into account deviation (if specified). The exit of the filter can affect the task already in place, not just the new entry.
Keep the card and check the rest of the conditions. All the filters should allow it to go. The consequences of the exit commands and the differences in modes are explained in The ISignal instructions. The filtering permission does not confirm the order sent or executed.
