# Filter by Momentum

The By Momentum filter allows the side to move to the momentum's current position relative to zero or to its rise and fall. The main Momentum indicator with the cross signal is set separately.

### Add the card to the designer

Open the Binance or Bybit robot task and [The ISignal](/en/signals-and-strategy-conditions/isignal-entry-filters-and-exit.md) designer. Select Momentum from the filter block.

The trading instrument is out of the question. The new card uses form values; it's not a recommended strategy.

### Set the settings

* TF is selected from the list of current form; by default 1 minute.
* The **Type of candle**s is Ordinary or Hakeen-Ash, by default Ordinary.
* **Calculation** allows you to select closed bars or current unlocked bars mode On the intersection (every second). The original meaning is After closing the bar.
* Period is the number of bars between the prices that Momentum shows the difference. The starting value is 10.
* **Type of filter** Higher/Low 0th level or On the rise/fall. By default, the first option.

### When the filter allows action

* Above/Beyond 0: a value above zero is allowed by the long, below zero short. No direction allowed at zero.
* By growth/reduction: the increase in value relative to the previous one allows for long, decrease shorts. The constant allows for both directions.
* In both modes, the current condition is checked; a new zero-level crossing is not required.

These rules apply to the deactivated Reverse field? the initial state of the form. The switch changes the long and short. The permission and prohibition of both parties remain the same.

### Consider the meaning of the calculation

For the up/down mode, the Momentum change sign is important, not the current value sign. For example, the negative value can increase and resolve the long in this mode.

### Save the card and check the action

In the field **When you exit the filter**, select a loss response. By default , cancel cycles; the Selling by market and Selling by market commands are also available , taking into account deviation (if specified). The exit of the filter can affect the task already in place, not just the new entry.

Keep the card and check the rest of the conditions. All the filters should allow it to go. The consequences of the exit commands and the differences in modes are explained in [The ISignal instructions](/en/signals-and-strategy-conditions/isignal-entry-filters-and-exit.md). The filtering permission does not confirm the order sent or executed.
