Filter by MRC channel width (FOMO)
The filter compares the width of the MRC channel to the threshold in percent. It allows both directions when the conditions are met and does not select a side by the price position inside the channel.
Add a filter to the task
Open up the task of creating or editing a Binance robot or a Bybit robot. — The Bybit robot In the filter block, select Channel width of MRC (FOMO).
Field Active is missing. Set the filter for the pair the task is going to work with.
Set the calculation
The TF sets the time frame for the calculation. The initial value is 1 minute.
Overbought/Overbought Slable, Middle or Strong. The field selects a pair of bands to measure the width. By default, it's weak.
Channel width, % from 0.1 to 100. The initial value is 1.
Enable entry if The channel is already specified % or The channel is wider than the specified %. By default, the first condition is selected.
When the filter allows action
Width is defined as the absolute value of the distance between the upper and lower bands to the lower band multiplied by 100%.
The channel of the already specified % allows action when the width is much smaller than the threshold.
The Channel width of the given % allows action when the width is much larger than the threshold. If they're all equal, none of these conditions are met.
Determine the meaning of the parameters
The channel is calculated on the usual bars of a selected timeframe with a fixed period of 200. The threshold is the width of the channel, not the price change per bar or the full amplitude over the period.
Set the action when you exit the filter
Field When the filter is out refers to the situation when the task stops passing this condition. The new card has the Cancel Cycles option. The form also includes Sell by market and Sell by market with deviation (if indicated).
The filter can also affect a task that is already working: the exit from the condition transmits the selected command. Before you save, check the command's implications for your robot in the Binance or Bybit task description. — Binance tasks — Bybit tasks
Save and verify the task
Save the filter card, then check the rest of the conditions and parameters. Several filters should allow it to move at the same time. The filtering permission itself does not mean that the order has been sent or executed.
If the task mode supports the task without a basic signal, the filters can be involved in its start. So the conditions and the action you choose to take when you exit them should be checked before the robot starts.
