# ADX DI+ DI−

The ADX DI+ DI− indicator forms a signal when the lines DI+ and DI− intersect. You can also check the ADX value for a given threshold. The card is available at the ISignal entry and exit blocks.

### Set the settings

Add the indicator to the correct block. The instrument is out of the question. Choose **The TF**, Candle Type and Period from 2 to 30 bars.

**The threshold** field takes an integer from 1 to 100. It's the ADX level, not the percentage change in price. The new card is default to period 14, threshold 20 and check above threshold. These values are not a recommendation.

Select **Calculation** in the Bar Closing or Intersection (secondly). In the second mode, the bar is checked; its performance may change before closing.

### Select the condition

* The DI+/DI- crossing is checked for line crossing without additional condition on the ADX threshold.
* Above the threshold ADX + DI+/DI- crossings, a cross and ADX equal to or above the threshold are required at the same time.
* Below the threshold ADX + DI+/DI- crossings, a cross and ADX equal to or below the threshold are required at the same time.

The threshold equation is taken into account in both threshold conditions of this card. One ADX crossing the threshold without crossing DI+ and DI− is not enough.

### Check the direction and role

When the reverse is turned off, the long signal is generated when DI+ was below DI− and is now equal to or higher. Short when DI+ was higher than DI−, and now it's either equal to or lower. The threshold is subject to additional checks.

The reverse switch is changing directions. The signal must be in line with the task. In the exit block without a reverse, the short signal serves as a condition for closing the long, the long as a condition for closing the short.

The exit reaction is set by the field **When the signal is received**. The variation, taking into account the deviation, depends on its configuration and the type of robot and does not guarantee profitable execution.

The ADX filter is a separate card; its conditions do not replace the DI intersection in this indicator. Keep the card and check the task according to ISignal instructions. — [The ISignal instructions](/en/signals-and-strategy-conditions/isignal-entry-filters-and-exit.md) The signal hasn't confirmed the order has been executed yet.
