# Impulse 2.0

The **Pulse 2.0** indicator checks how much the current price has risen from the lowest or fallen from the highest over a selected time period. In the ISignal constructor it is available for entry and exit on Bybit and Binance.

### How to Determine the Pulse

The calculation uses the price of the second bars in the selected window, including the current forming bar. The minimum and maximum are determined by the closing price values of these bars, not their shadows.

* If the deviation is positive, the current price increase from the window's minimum value is checked. The signal is generated when the growth rate reaches or exceeds a certain percentage.
* If the deviation is negative, the drop from the maximum value of the window is checked. The signal is generated when a given drop or a stronger drop is reached.

The deviation sign determines which movement to look for. The **Long** or Short direction is set separately in the robot's task.

### The parameters

**The asset** is missing.

The time of the calculation (s) specifies the window length: from 10 to 100 seconds with a step of 10 seconds. By default, 100 seconds is selected in the form.

**The deviation** is expressed as a percentage. It's a default of three. Positive and negative values of the following values are allowed:

* 1 to 9.5 with step 0,5;
* from 10 to 20 with step 1;
* 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50.

Zero is not in the allowable set. If the value is not supported, the nearest available values are shown to be error-prone.

### In and out

In the entry block, the activation can run a task if the added filters and limitations of the robot allow the entry.

Check **The exit** box when you receive the signal. The choice of action depends on whether the shutdown command is sent without checking the deviation or taking it into account. The roles and the important deviation conditions of Bybit Exchange Account are described in the ISignal article. — [about ISignal](/en/signals-and-strategy-conditions/isignal-entry-filters-and-exit.md)

For Bybit Exchange Account, a deviation action requires a given positive value of the deviation in the task itself. An empty field, zero or −1 doesn't make it an unconditional closure.

The previous impulses are checked by a separate filter. It has its own permitting conditions and additional parameters; they do not apply to the fields of this indicator.

### Fast mode

The Quick Mode switch is only in the entry role and is deactivated by default. It adds a response to pulse arrest.

In Bybit Exchange Account, if the task is already running and the momentum condition has stopped running, the command is sent to stop further cycles. In the absence of another working closing condition, the current cycle ends according to its parameters; this team does not close the position immediately on the market. Check the number of trading cycles separately in the task settings.

### Before you start

Check the deviation sign, the role you've chosen and the side of the task. The short window describes the price movement that has already occurred and does not predict where it will go next. The operation itself does not guarantee opening, closing or profit on the trade.
