# Screener: selecting trading pairs

The Screener helps to find trading pairs that pass the specific long or short filters. After searching, you can study a pair on a graph or move a set of filters to the shape of a robot task.

### Open the scanner in the terminal

Open the Binance desktop terminal or Bybit terminal and turn on **The asset screener** block. — [Binance terminal](https://app.itradingbot.net/terminal-binance) — [The Bybit terminal](https://app.itradingbot.net/terminal-bybit) The location and inclusion of the blocks are described in [The terminal](/en/trading-terminal/trading-terminal-overview.md) overview.

The search is for the futures market of the selected exchange. Before you set up, check which terminal is open.

### Enter the address and filters

1. Choose **Long** or Short.
2. Click Add filter and select the desired item.
3. Fill in the form fields and click Save. The set of fields depends on the filter.
4. Add the rest of the terms. The result is pairs that have passed all the added filters for the chosen direction.

To change the terms, open the edit card. The unnecessary filter can be removed separately. If the editor has a Graph button, it lets you see the indicator with the current values on the active graph.

### Search for the item

You can click Find. The button becomes available after you add the filter. Wait until the search is over: the result will appear in a separate window.

If there's no suitable pair, the screener will report it. A download or query error is another result: it does not confirm that no pair passes the conditions.

The search checks the conditions at the time of the calculation. The market is changing, so the pair you found earlier may not match. Re-start the search to check again.

### Find the pair

In the results window, you can find the symbol by name and sort the list by change in 24 hours, funding or volatility. Repeatedly pressing the selected indicator changes the sorting direction.

The funding in this window is compared to the sign count. The overwriting means that the indicator is inaccessible; it does not confirm the zero value. These pairs are left at the bottom of the list when sorted by this indicator.

The price and other indicators are taken from the data available to the terminal when the results are opened. The repositioning of the lines does not update this data and does not perform a new search.

Press the steam to open it on the active chart and apply the filters to view. This action does not send a trade request.

### Move the filters to the robot task

The Create Robot button is available with added filters and a connected robot in the current account. It suggests opening the task form in the terminal or on the robot's page. For the first option, a robot unit must be turned on.

Filters and directions are transmitted into the form. Check the account and the trading pair, fill in the input, volume and exit settings. Then save the task separately and run it as instructed by your robot.

The transfer of filters does not create or start a task, nor does a pair found mean that a future order will be executed.

### Save or clean the set

Added cards are stored in this browser separately for each exchange. Do not expect them to automatically appear in another browser or device.

Clean removes all the filters and all the active graphics indicators. The action is executed immediately. If you only need to remove one condition, delete the card separately.
